Behind-the-scenes visit to the art restoration lab at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum or skip the crowds for an after-hours private visit to the Prado Museum.
Also- don't miss the opportunity for a private flamenco show in Madrid. We enjoyed ours complete with a luxurious private dining experience at Casa Faraona.
Lastly- Madrid has so much great shopping and fabulous designers. Book a day to visit the studios and showrooms of famous design houses like Malne and Ze.

Leisurely tapas strolls where you learn the culinary history of the region including delicacies like acorn-fed Jamón Ibérico, traditional tomate y pan, cod croquettes, and a whole culture designed around the regional drink, Vermu.
Of course, the list of Michelin-starred restaurants is endless, but you might opt for a hands-on educational experience called a Tuna Grunt where you learn how to use every part of a whole 100kilo fish caught that day! Also, don't miss an opportunity to visit some of the regions many award-winning vineyards!
Favorite Wellness aspect of the hotel or region
The hammam and spa at Abadia Retuerta was one of the best I have ever experienced! Complete with a spa sommelier, an outdoor shower carved into granite that acts as a cold plunge, and a sensational shower of various mists and scents. Highly recommend!
I even recommended they apply for Forbes Five Star because it is that good.

The custom bottle of Vermu at URSO in Madrid and a bottle of Abadia Retuertas signature wine with our name on it!
